Public Projects

VOC's public projects bring people together who share a deep appreciation for Colorado's remarkable outdoor spaces, fostering a sense of community rooted in this shared value.

Join a VOC project to become a part of the growing community of people giving back to Colorado's outdoors. 

Each year, VOC hosts around 70 public opportunities to get outside and give back, featuring a wide range of activities from trail construction/maintenance, invasive weed removal, habitat restoration, and gardening/planting. Projects vary in difficulty and are great for all experience levels unless otherwise noted.

Public projects are supported by Volunteer Leaders who lead crews of volunteers, manage tools, take photos, make meals on overnight projects, and more. If you are interested in learning more about our leadership pathways, please view our Training program.
