About

In addition to our Main Office in Denver, VOC also operates Partnership Offices in the San Luis Valley and Weld County. These offices are operated in collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service, and Greeley Natural Areas & Trails, respectively. VOC’s Partnership Offices demonstrate the critical role volunteers and community-based partnerships play in caring for our public lands.

Partnership Offices host public VOC projects but also host community based volunteer opportunities. These community projects are meant to engage local volunteers rather than a state wide audience and the work is tailored to the needs of the local communities where they exist. These projects are typically a half-day or full-day time commitment, with the occasional weekend-long project. They tend to be smaller in size and are a great way for community members engage in public lands stewardship while meeting local volunteers who share the same passion.

Impact

Each year, the SLV and Weld Co Partnership Offices host around 20 community projects. These projects feature a wide range of activities from alpine lake sampling, trail maintenance, nordic ski trail grooming, invasive weed removal, gardening/planting, wildlife inventories and much more!
