Description

What you'll learn: Upgrade your outdoor stewardship skills at this exciting 1 day workshop! Invasive weeds affect us all, they steal moisture and nutrients from native plants, shade out older plants, decrease nutritional value of forage, and some are toxic to livestock or humans. This training, hosted by Rachel Hosna from the USFS, will introduce participants to invasive plant management at the field level. The material delivered will be specific to public lands in the San Luis Valley.

Where you'll be: This training will be a mix of classroom and field-based learning in the Del Norte, CO area.

Essential details:

-This training is intended for volunteers in the San Luis Valley and is FREE to all participants.

-A detailed email with the exact location, schedule and logistical information will be sent one month prior to the training date. If you have any questions, please email Katie at katie@voc.org
