Description: The Colorado Outdoor Training Initiative (COTI) will be hosting a number of Crew Leadership Workshops during the upcoming season (March-October 2007). We are currently in the process of establishing our training calendar. If you are interested in attending a workshop or hosting a training for your seasonal staff or volunteers, please contact us for more information. It^s easy to get involved!
COTI^s standardized training program for Ecological Restoration Crew Leadership is a 16-hour workshop covering the fundamentals of natural habitat restoration. Participants will learn about basic planting, seeding and erosion control, in addition to leadership techniques and tool and crew safety. All trainees will receive a Crew Leader Guide and other goodies that will make for a successful crew leadership experience. All training topics are directly applicable to any non-profit or agency habitat restoration project! This workshop is best for individuals who have restoration and+++or crew leadership experience.
