Summary: Participants will obtain the skills and knowledge involved in building rock structures.
Description: At Mohawk Lakes on Friday, September 1st, the Friday before the Mohawk project in Summit County Sept. 2-4th, VOC instructors will be conducting a rock structure training. Rock structures are usually needed on every trail project whether it is trail construction or maintenance, making rock skills one of the most important skills to have. The structures that could be taught are rock steps, walls, or chiseling rock to create steps. So dust off your boots and gloves and join the newly established conservation organization, Friends of Dillon Ranger District, in the challenging yet rewarding work of restoring and rerouting 1
