Start Date-End Date: 03/22/2008-03/22/2008 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: OSI-VOC Crew Leader Refresher Description: Crew Leader Training to provide an introduction to the new OSI training materials. This years CL refresher will be different than in previous years. This will be a great opportunity for you to further your education and learn some new techniques! I am sure most of you have heard that the Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI) will be coordinating training for VOC. To that end, there are some training methods and modules that we want to familiarize you with. This meeting will be an accelerated review of the new OSI CL Training materials. The main focus will be to help orient you to the new training modules we will be using in the future to train new CL's. You may ask yourself why this new training is important. The new OSI training will have some different terms and different approaches. We want you to be aware of these techniques and feel confident to discuss them with your crews should the need arise. We want you to feel free to incorporate this new information as much as you feel comfortable doing. The new Crew Leaders trained in the 2008 season will be using the new information and terminology. To prevent confusion for the volunteers, we want to make sure all CLs have some exposure to the OSI training. We assure you the changes are minimal and are not overwhelming.
