Summary: 240 youth (the majority 16 and over) and 45 adults (18 and over) will arrive for a half day project at Cherry Creek State Park to remove noxious weeds and removal harmful barbed wire fencing that impedes wildlife migration. Volunteers will receive an educational component on noxious weeds and impacts of their work.

Approximately 300 volunteers from the HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar group
Weeded two noxious species and remove barbed wire fence. Pulled Dalmatian Toadflax and Diffuse Knapweed by hand, and cut, removed, and rolled barbed wire. The students were split up into about 10 groups. 7 groups did the weeding project, while the other 3 helped remove barbed wire that was impacting animal migrations through the park.
