Summary: The Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve is a hidden treasure tucked away in the heart of rural Greenwood Village. The Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve is surrounded by one of Colorado's premier trail networks, the High Line Canal. This natural area provides an opportunity for park and trail users to free their mind and spirit amongst the backdrop of scenic landscapes of natural vegetation, wildlife habitat, and drainage ways. The Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve is the perfect location for artists and photography buffs to capture nature's beauty.

Noxious weeds have are a big problem in Colorado and can have big impacts on the environment. some of the impacts of invasive species include:Noxious weeds impact native ecosystems by:
? Reducing biodiversity? Altering hydrologic conditions? Altering soil characteristics? Altering fire intensity and frequency? Modifying successional pathways? Competing for pollinators? Displacing rare plant species? Serving as reservoirs of plant pathogens
On July 24th volunteers will be working at the Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve to remove noxious weeds and seed with native grasses.

On July 24th, 20 volunteers from Charles Schwab participated at a SWAT at the Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve in Greenwood Village. In 2.5 hours the group was able to clear 25 acres of weeds inlcuding: dock weed, kosha, and russian olive. The group also seed 4 acres of trail and land with native grass. Their efforcts will help restore the preseve to a more natural state.
