The lake level rose significantly during the floods of September 2013, covering the adjacent trails and park facilities in up to 40 feet of water. Volunteers worked on a lakeside loop trail to help make repairs to the trail and fishing areas. Volunteers repaired 5 benches and spread crusher on five designated fishing areas. They also built a 10 foot rock wall, constructed 4 waterbars and spread crusher on 200 feet of trail.
