Description: Be the energy behind outdoor stewardship! Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado is hosting an introductory crew chef training for people interested in cooking for volunteers in some of the most spectacular places in Colorado. This training is for new AND current crew leaders. This will be VOCs first training via webinar and will cover safe food handling and preparation practices; how to manage a team of volunteer crew chefs; how to plan simple menus for large and small groups; and how to manage the budget and donated items. Working as a crew chef is a great opportunity to meet other people that love to cook in the outdoors and to share your favorite campsite recipes. As the old adage goes, behind every hardworking volunteer is a hardworking cook! Prior to the training date you will receive an email with a link and instructions for how to access the webinar.
