Summary: Join us for a chance to enhance your ability to build drainage structures for trails.
Description:
VOC will partner with the U.S. Forest Service to teach essential skills around the maintenance and installation of drainage structures. The erosive force of water is usually the most destructive element acting upon a trail. Diverting surface water off the trail is an essentail part of an effective maintenance program. Volunteers will learn how to construct and maintain various types of drainage structures using rock and natural surface materials. A 1-2 mile hike into the training site is required.
