ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER PROJECT The Blue Heron pond at St Vrain State Park is the largest at the park and offers great fishing and birding opportunities. This is one of the last ponds in the park to have a trail built around its perimeter. The 1.5 mile trail will improve fishing access and give recreationalists another hiking opportunity.
