Start Date-End Date: 05/14/2016-05/15/2016 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Learn successful volunteer crew management for the construction and maintenance of sustainable trails. Description: Through classroom sessions, field exercises and role playing, participants will learn and practice the construction and maintenance of sustainable trails, leadership strategies and techniques, tool use, and safety. All trainees will receive a Crew Leader manual, a set of quick reference cards, and other materials that make for a successful and fun experience. All training topics are directly applicable to any nonprofit, agency, trail maintenance, or construction project! This workshop is ideal for those who have prior trail project experience. Please note: Trainings are offered for a nominal fee to cover materials and the cost of instructors. The courses are limited in size to ensure effectiveness and often fill quickly. Meals are not included in the cost of training.
