Description: Gain the experience to expand your trail building knowledge base, as well as your leadership capacities! Trainees will have the opportunity to work on multiple skills, including drainage structures, rock walls,switchbacks and climbing turns. Attention will be given to constructing them to withstand popular multi-use trail. Youwill have the opportunity to practice different skills, switching between them throughout the day.
The cost of this training is $20. Crew Leaders who attend the National Public Lands Day Trail Restoration project in Lory State Park that weekend on Sept. 22 & 23 can sign up for free by contacting Dan Williams at dan@voc.org or 303-715-1010 ext. 117. Campsites are provided in the park for Friday and Saturday night for those attending both the training and project.
This is a great way to learn new stewardship skills, then spend the weekend practicing them!
