Description: This exciting two-day workshop will cover the fundamentals of crew leadership including tool and crew safety, as well as the basics of ecological restoration includingbasic planting, seeding and erosion control techniques. Workshop topics are directly applicable to any nonprofit or agency restoration project! This training is best for individuals who have some previous ecological restoration project experience. All trainees will receive a Crew Leader Guide and other goodies that will make for a successful and rewarding training experience. Class took place on the Willow Creek floodplain below the town of Creede in partnership with the Headwaters Alliance. Students learned about volunteer program development, leadership, how to lead and run volunteer work projects effectively and safely, and learned hands-on field skills in restoration techniques including willow staking and wattle construction and installation. 8 people; 128 hours; $3160.32 value.
