April 11: This introductory crew chef training - for new and current VOC volunteers - is designed for those interested in cooking for volunteers in some of Colorado's most spectacular places. Learn the basics of project kitchen support; including proper meal planning, safe food prep, camp setup, cleanup and zero waste, and many other topics related to outdoor cooking management - all from the comfort of your home or office.
April 21: Then join our skilled current crew chefs for an optional orientation at our operations center to learn more of the hand-on side of the crew chef process!
As the old adage goes, behind every hardworking volunteer is a hardworking cook! Prior to the training date, you will receive an email with a link and instructions for how to access the webinar. And remember: two cooks are often better than one, so bring a friend!

Additional Information: To become a VOC Crew Chef, attending the Web session on April 11th is required.. Certification is gained through additional on project learning with an experienced Crew Chef.
By checking the 4/21/2018 box, trainees have the option of signing up for an additional in person orientation at VOC's operations center in Lakewood. This optional session will give traineesa personal look at the kind of equipment we have available to Crew Chefs, and you'll have a chance to learn a little more about what goes into preparing for a project
