Description: This workshop is ideal for those who have prior trail project experience.
Through online work, classroom sessions, field exercises and role playing, you'll learn and practice construction and maintenance of sustainable trails, leadership strategies and techniques, tool use, and safety. All trainees will receive a crew leader manual, a set of quick reference cards, and other materials that make for a successful and fun experience. All training topics are directly applicable to any nonprofit, agency, trail maintenance, or construction project!
Training Cost: $100. OSI trainings are offered for a nominal fee to help cover material and program costs. The courses are limited in size to ensure effectiveness and often fill quickly. Spots are not solidified until complete payment is received. Registrants will be charged in full as will those who do not attend the training without giving at least seven days advanced notice. Meals are not included.

Additional Information: This workshop requires that trainees complete online coursework before attending the in-person training session. OSI hosts online training in partnership with Colorado Mountain College. To access the online course content, go to this link. Fill out the form, selecting OSI-Crew Leadership and OSI Trails Overview from the two available "course selections" drop down menus at the bottom of the form. You should receive an auto-response indicating you have successfully registered for the online course and will receive access to the course within 2 business days.
The online work is self paced, takes 4-5 hours to finish and must be completed before attending the in person session of the training.
