Summary: Learn to teach others important stewardship skills and make the most of your outdoor experience.
Description: Open to volunteers and employees from any organization, this course is designed for those with significant field experience including Crew Leaders with VOC or an equivalent agency.
Whether you're looking to train Crew Leaders for OSI or a different organization, this two-day training will give you the tools you need to successfully teach others the OSI Crew Leadership for Trails curriculum. The small class size gives you the opportunity to ask questions and learn in a hands-on setting, and all trainees will walk away with an Instructor Manual and copies of other OSI Crew Leader training materials to apply to your own leadership needs.
This workshop is intended for individuals who have previously completed an OSI Crew Leadership for Trails training or have significant experience in volunteer leadership and land stewardship. If you are unsure whether you qualify for this workshop, please contact Dan Williams at 303-715-1010 ext. 117.
Cost:$80*.Refunds will be provided to those who cancel at least 2 weeks before the training date.

About Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI)
Originally created in collaboration with other organizations, OSI offers affordable, in-depth training courses for volunteers and employees from any organization to learn or improve their stewardship skills and prepare for a variety of leadership roles. Approximately 300 people each year receive OSI training in topics such as volunteer crew leadership; trail design, construction, and maintenance; ecological, habitat, and fire restoration; crosscut saw skills and more. OSI is a program of Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC), the state's oldest, largest, and leading outdoor stewardship nonprofit organization.
