Summary: Join us to learn about training Trail Adopters using the OSI Independent Stewardship for Trails Curriculum
Description: Interested in training volunteers to work independently to meet your trail maintenance needs? This webinar will introduce the OSI Independent Stewardship for Trails Curriculum and how it is used for just that purpose!
In the course, trainees work through all the basics of independent trail volunteering, including working succesfully in partnership with an government agency or non-profit sponsor, effective accomplishment reporting, risk management and safety while performing trail work, and the basics of trail maintenance including basic tasks for corridor, tread and drainage structure maintenance.
During the course of the webinar, we will work through each section of the course detailing objectives, agendas and tips for successful teaching and setting up a fun and productive class for volunteers.
For questions regarding this or about signing up for a field training or scheduling a custom field training for your group, contact Dan Williams.
Please note, we will attempt to cover all of the info in 2 hours on May 27th, but will have a backup date of May 28th if we are unable to get to everything.
