Project Summary: From Dan:
I wanted to take some time to write to everyone with a report on last weekend's Crew Leader training!
8 trainees spent Saturday and Sunday with Mark and me. The one no-show was Felix Wulftange.
This was a small but mighty group! I was impressed with everyone's active participation and wealth of experience already brought to the table. Though completion of the online modules varied from person to person, I think all of these folks are good Crew Leader candidates should they pursue it with VOC. Kate, I reminded everyone that they'll need to complete the online coursework to get a certificate, and we discussed the next steps of Crew Leader Mentoring. I let them know the mentoring opportunities for 2022 would be sent in a followup email.
due to timeconstraints, we had the group work on the portion of the reroute nearest to the parking lot. You'll note it's not totally finished. Also, with a smaller group we weren't able to address all of the maintenance items you flagged on the Geology Trail. You might be able to put MHYC to work there if you're in a bind for a maintenance site. Please let me know if you need more specifics.
Finally, a huge shout out to Mark for instructing. I wanted to make sure this group knows what a great job he did. Mark, I hope you stick with it, because you're a very good Crew Leader Instructor!
