Description: Interested in improving your trail maintenance skills? This online module provided in partnership with Colorado Mountain College is a great place to start! You will work through 2-3 hours of self paced content, reviewing the importance of positive drainage, how water interacts with trails, and basic tasks and structures such as de-berming trails and installing knicks or swales. Further segments cover how to assess a trail for correcting drainage issues and the appropriate installation of unreinforced and reinforced drainage dips. The course includes text and diagrams, recorded lecture content, video examples of topics, and quizzes. *This course is available through August 2022. At this time the CMC semester will end and all classes will restart. Please be sure to finish all of your modules before that date otherwise you will have to pay to re-enroll.
