Summary: Help develop the next generation of trail designers!
Description: Attendanceof this training is by invite only.
Whether you're looking to train trail designers for VOC or another organization, this in-depth training will walk you through the Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI) Trail Design curriculum and lesson plans to enable you to successfully lead a Trail Design Training course!
In this Instructor training, you will review the OSI Guides to Trail Design. You will then have the opportunity to discuss and practice successful teaching of the modules, learn what it takes to prepare for a successful training, and learn how you can get involved as Instructors with VOC and other groups. Plus, you'll walk away with an Instructor Manual and other teaching tools to kickstart your training!
This workshop is recommended for individuals who have previously completed a Trail Design workshop with a participating partner and/or who have significant experience in trail design and layout. Participants should be motivated to share their knowledge to help develop new trail designers as a Trail Design Instructor. Participants should have a solid grasp of basic trail design and layout as presented in the OSI Trail Design Curriculum.
The training will be a virtual session on April 13, 2022 from 1:00pm-4:00pm MST.
