Summary: Help develop the next generation of volunteer leaders!
Description: Open to volunteers and employees from any organization, this course is designed for those with significant field experience including Crew Leaders with VOC or an equivalent agency.
Whether you're looking to train Crew Leaders for VOC or another organization, this in-depth training will walk you through the Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI) Crew Leader Training curriculum and lesson plans to enable you to successfully lead a Crew Leadership course!
In this virtual Instructor training, you will review the OSI Guides to Crew Leadership for Trails and Ecological Restoration. You will then have the opportunity to discuss and practice successful teaching of the modules, learn what it takes to prepare for a successful training, and learn how you can get involved as Instructors with VOC and other groups. Plus, you'll walk away with an Instructor Manual and other teaching tools to kickstart your training!
This workshop is recommended for individuals who have previously completed a Crew Leadership workshop with a participating partner and/or who have significant experience in volunteer leadership and outdoor stewardship. Participants should be motivated to share their knowledge to help develop new volunteer leaders as a Crew Leader Instructor. Participants should have a solid grasp of basic ecological restoration and/or trail construction and maintenance as presented in the OSI Crew Leader Curriculum.
Please register for all dates. March 30, April 1-2, 2023 online.
