Where you'll be:
Join us in the picturesque Ridgway State Park, just 15 miles from Ouray. This park features a stunning reservoir against a backdrop of scenic mountains, drawing visitors for activities like hiking, biking, and boating.
What you'll do:
Contribute to the construction of a new trail, enhancing accessibility and diverting visitors away from the road. This project aims to increase ADA accessibility, making Ridgway State Park a safer and more inclusive space for recreation.
Why it's important:
Ensuring everyone can enjoy the beauty of Ridgway State Park is at the heart of this project. The new trail will significantly enhance ADA accessibility, providing approximately 2/3 of a mile of improvements to the Forest Discovery Nature Trail. With widened trail tread and purpose-built pullouts, the project aims to increase access for people of all abilities, fostering a more inclusive outdoor experience. Join us in creating a safer and more accessible Ridgway State Park for all.

Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older on overnight projects.
