Where you'll be:
Duran is a section of the Poudre River. Parking will be at the Signature Bluffs Trailhead. You will cross 71st Ave towards the gate that leads you to section of trail we will be working on. There will be directional signs posted.
What you'll do:
With the nature of a changing river that sometimes calls for trail re-routing. A portion of the trail will be undergoing construction. This is a prime time to plant willows, a beautiful and important plant for rivers. We will spend the day de-potting and planting willows in the Duran section of the Poudre River.
Why it's important:
This project will help sustain recreational opportunities in the Front Range, it will create habitats for a healthy ecosystem, provide riverbank structure and prevent erosion

This project is considered easy and moderate, please check our difficulty rating criteria, here, for more details. Conditions will be cold and muddy.

There will be public restrooms on-site. Please be prepared for mud and dress in layers due to the cold.
