Description

Where You’ll Be:

Campo Esperanza is a newly developed park located in Greeley, CO. The park features approximately two miles of soft-surface trails for pedestrians and leashed dogs, along with whimsical art installations that carry meaningful messages. The nature-focused playground includes climbing areas, a giant slide for all ages, and native plants surrounding the space.

What You’ll Do:

Volunteers will contribute to the continued development and ecological restoration of Campo Esperanza. Tasks will include mulching, seeding, and planting native shrubs to enhance the park’s natural habitat. Additionally, volunteers will help create a log staircase for the playground, improving accessibility and adding to the park’s unique features.

  • Please bring your own lunch for the day.

Why It Matters:

Campo Esperanza is one of the few natural areas in this part of Greeley, making it a vital space for recreation and connection with nature in the community. By planting native species and enhancing the park’s ecological health, this project will help reclaim the area for native wildlife while providing a welcoming environment for residents. Your efforts will support the growth of this important natural area and contribute to a space that brings people together with nature.
