Where you'll be:
Over the last 25 years, Growing Gardens has brought regenerative agriculture education and food donations to over 136,000 Boulder County residents. Growing Gardens’ programs empower people of all ages, income levels, and abilities by reconnecting them with their local food systems and teaching gardening, cooking, and nutrition education. Thousands of pounds of produce, as well as plant starts and seeds, are donated to low income community members to impart greater food security and hunger relief in our community.
What you'll do:
Volunteers will help with different tasks designed to upkeep and revamp the current pollinator garden at Growing Gardens. This project will aim to keep this space weeded as well as replanting even more plants for our pollinator friends. If you have some plant knowledge and a desire to help out as many pollinators as possible this project is for you!
Why it's important:
Pollinators are having a harder and harder time each year. We aim to give them a year round space where they have access to regional plants and flowers for their pollinating needs.
