Where you'll be:
Join Loveland Youth Gardeners in helping to prep their garden beds for the season! Helping this small non-profit team wake up the farm for the Spring will allow them to focus more efforts on their main mission: teaching kids outdoors. A variety of tasks are available to make this project family friendly and ADA accessible.
What you'll do:
Volunteers will help with various tasks to help prep their garden beds: including planting, turning compost, transplanting plants, tilling, and more.
Why it's important:
This farm is their site for most of their youth programming with a focus on nature-based education and horticultural therapy, resulting in serving about 150 youth each year. Almost 1,000 other visitors use this space for events and community projects. Most of the produce grown here go to local community organizations, addressing local food insecurities in the area.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ages 10+
All youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older.
If you are a parent looking to sign your child up for this opportunity, please create a separate account on their behalf, and then register them through that account.
