Description

Where You'll Be:

With forested foothills, picnic areas, and the popular Evergreen Lake House, Dedisse Park provides a variety of recreational opportunities right in the heart of Evergreen. The nearly 100-year old park is managed by Denver Mountain Parks and connects visitors with Jefferson County's Alderfer-Three Sisters park through a series of trails on the North side. Exact meeting location will be shared via email at least 7 days prior to the project.

What You'll Do:

Volunteers will perform much-needed maintenance at the park. Work may include corridor clearing, drainage maintenance, tread maintenance and more! This is a great opportunity for new volunteers and those wanting to learn more about trail restoration in a beautiful setting.

Why It Matters:

Trail maintenance matters from an ecological and environmental standpoint because it ensures a safe and sustainable route for people to use, which keeps the surrounding habitat safe and minimizes the human impacts on flora and fauna, especially in high-use areas like Dedisse Park.
