Summary: Intimate volunteer experience, limited to 15 people per day. Each project will have several workdays scheduled throughout the summer, and will be supervised by seasoned VOC Crew Leaders. Volunteers are responsible for providing their own meals.
Description: Surrounded by striking views of Mount Evans and beautiful forests of pine and blue spruce, Bear Creek is a popular destination for fishing afficionados. Unfortunately, the Fisherman's Trail is poorly defined thanks to intertwined trails and pathways on both sides of the creek. Volunteers will work to define one main trail along the north bank of the stream and bring the existing segments of the main trail up to standards. This critical work will reduce the amount of impacted vegetation along the creek banks and provide a safer, more user-friendly trail.
