Summary: Youth will participate in a variety of trial building and habitat restoration work
Description: Youth Groups Only.
Join VOC's Youth Advisory Board for a weekend of trails, youth,
the great outdoors and fun. Just minutes from Fort Collins, Lory
State Park provides unspoiled opportunities for hiking, mountain
biking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, horseback riding and camping.
Thirty volunteers will spend the weekend constructing natural-surface
trail and completing important trail rehabilitation in an undisturbed
setting. In addition to completing important work, youths
will participate in fun environmental education and team-building activities. This project provides a safe and well-organized opportunity
for young volunteers to enjoy Colorado's outdoors, make new
friends and give back to our public lands. Previous camping experience
is recommended but not required.
