Start Date-End Date: 11/12/2005-11/13/2005 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Help with the ongoing construction of the newest trail in the Lunch Loop area. Description: We'll continue the work begun on National Public Lands Day in September. The lower section of this trail has been completed and opened. Now we'll begin work on the upper section which will add another three quarters of a mile to this trail dedicated to the memory of Pete Larson. This section should be a little easier trail building than the lower section. This project will be less formal than the NPLD project but we'll still assign volunteers to crew leaders and a specific section of trail. You'll have the option of working either Saturday or Sunday, or both days. We'll meet at the Tabeguache Trailhead on Monument Road starting at 9:00 a.m. each day. We'll have some raffle items to give away at the end of each day. Please bring: Sturdy work boots, long pants, work gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water - at least two quarts, lunch/snacks. All tools will be provided. Please let us know if you are trained as a crew leader and are willing to lead a crew for this project.
