Start Date-End Date: 06/11/2005-06/11/2005 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Intimate volunteer experience, limited to 30 people per day. Each project will have several workdays scheduled throughout the summer, and will be supervised by seasoned VOC Crew Leaders. Volunteers are responsible for providing their own meals. Description: Just north of Silverthorne, Willow Creek Open Space is chock full of important wetland habitat and all-season trails connecting to the Gore Range and Buffalo Mountain in the Eagle's Nest Wilderness. Several trails cross through significant wetland sites, damaging their fragile ecosystems. Volunteers will close and reroute the wetland trails and complete crucial maintenance on several damaged trails.
