Summary: Volunteers will continue the construction of a non-motorized trail that provides access to the Fourmile Travel Management Area.
Description: Boulder-strewn landscapes, pinion-covered hillsides and beautiful mountain meadows make up the 100,000 acre Fourmile Travel Management Area east of Buena Vista. Join VOC and the Friends of Fourmile to continue work begun in 2004 on the non-motorized Davis Meadow Trail. A popular location for off-highway vehicle use, the area is in need of more non-motorized pathways for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. Once finished, the trail will access high mountain desert environments with never-ending views of the Arkansas Valley and Collegiate Peaks. Spend two fulfilling days in early May moving boulders, building switchbacks, completing new trail and closing braided, eroding social trails.
