Summary: Volunteers will complete trail construction and maintenance in order to provide hikers with a safer route through this newly acquired section of land.
Description: Summit County in conjunction with the Town of Breckenridge, has recently acquired over 2,700 acres in the Golden Horseshoe. This backcountry area is dotted with historic mining structures, rich with wildlife habitat and blessed with views of the Tenmile Range and the Continental Divide. Enjoy a variety of fulfilling activities as volunteers build new trail, restore existing trail, construct bridge structures and build buck and rail fence. Join VOC on this exciting, inaugural project that will expand access to what is predicted to be a major, multi-use outdoor recreation area anticipated to be enjoyed by thousands over the coming years.
