Description

Start Date-End Date: 05/20/2006-05/20/2006 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Participants will complete a new section of a popular trail at Lory State Park. Description: Just minutes from Fort Collins, Lory State Park provides unspoiled opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, picnicking and horseback riding. Arthur's Rock, a favorite destination for Fort Collins residents and visitors, is Lory State Park's most recognizable landmark. Unfortunately, one of the most popular access trails runs through a rocky drainage that causes both severe trail erosion and makes passage dangerous at times. Roll up your sleeves and help build switchbacks, rock walls, drainage crossings and a mile and a half of new trail. Enjoy the satisfaction of providing a new sustainable route for hikers, bikers and equestrians while completing the new Lory Mountain Loop.
