Start Date-End Date: 05/06/2006-05/06/2006 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Youth volunteers will construct habitat gardens around the recently built amphitheater Description: For the third year in a row VOC will join the Audubon Society of Greater Denver at Chatfield State Park. Over time, volunteers and the general public have enjoyed the results of major planting, weeding, and building efforts of VOC volunteers. This year, youth volunteers will build additional wildlife habitat gardens to surround the newly constructed amphitheater and renovated farmhouse. The gardens are part of a long-range plan to restore all the original native ecosystems in the area. Take part in creating a living field guide of Colorado plants and providing endless opportunities for watching wildlife in this incredible little gem in the heart of the metro area.
