Summary: Volunteers will spend Earth Day planting new vegetation in order to restore vanishing wetlands.
Description: Anticipated to become a true Front Range gem, St. Vrain State Park is establishing a complex system of wetlands, grasslands, and ponds to create lush native habitat and improve the quality of the St. Vrain watershed. Enjoy spectacular views of the Indian Peaks, camaraderie with fellow volunteers and the satisfaction of replenishing Colorado's rapidly disappearing wetland environments. Celebrate Earth Day with VOC and help plant thousands of shrubs, trees and wetland plants that will grow into a vibrant and thriving waterways and playas system. Get in on the "ground floor" of a highly visible and valuable project intended to benefit future generations of native species and human visitors.
