Summary: Volunteers will complete trail construction and maintenance in order to provide hikers with a safer route through this newly acquired section of land.
Description: The Golden Horseshoe is Summit County's most exciting new recreational area. This historic mining area is crisscrossed with user-created trails. This is causing vegetation loss, soil erosion, and is having a detrimental effect on the wilderness character and visual quality of the area. Take advantage of this opportunity to build new trail, restore existing trail, and take in the beauty of Colorado's public lands. Join VOC on this exciting, continuing project that will expand access to a major, multi-use outdoor recreation area.
