Summary: Adopt-a Habitat volunteers will protect this precious wilderness by eradicating Oxeye daisy.
Description: Valued for its remote feel and stunning beauty, James Peak Wilderness encompasses 14,000 acres on the east side of the Continental Divide. It is home to high alpine lakes, wildflower meadows, and James Peak, the area's 13,294 ft namesake. Unfortunately, populations of the destructive Oxeye daisy are flourishing at its access points and reducing and eliminating native plant populations. Previous eradication efforts in the area have been successful in protecting riparian areas. Join with us in this continuing success story and play a valuable role in saving native plants.
