Description: Join VOC's youth program and give Bear Creek Park a much needed makeover. Bear Creek Park offers an escape from urban ills. Almost 100 acres, the park is divided by Bear Creek. The north side of the park provides picnic, playground and recreational facilities. The south side of Bear Creek Park is the largest undeveloped park area within Denver's city limits, offering a look at nature in a native setting. The restoration of this urban park requires the removal of noxious weeds along the waterway, tree and shrub plantings, and beaver wrapping for trees in the area for protection. The diversity of the work will ensure Bear Creek Park will remain a popular destination for those seeking recreation in the metro area.
