Summary: Adopt-a-Habitat volunteers will remove buckthorn from this 670 acre natural area.
Description: The common buckthorn, an aggressive weed that has been introduced to Colorado, is invading riparian habitats and reducing populations of native plants including a rare Front Range native shrub, the American Black Current. Join volunteers for a return to South Platte Park, a 670 acre natural area in Littleton, to battle this destructive invader and restore the area's native habitats.
