Summary: Lend your voice, creativity and energy in helping create VOC's future direction.
Description: Please join us Friday, November 16 beginning at 5:30 PM in Leadville, Colorado at the Outward Bound Wilderness Facility for a leadership retreat focused on several important volunteer leadership topics. The retreat will conclude on Saturday afternoon by 4 PM. Cost is $25 per person to cover food and partial lodging costs.
Facilitated topics (in large and small groups) will include:
*Volunteer Leadership Committee Structures and Functions - what's working; what needs to be simplified, reevaluated or changed; recruiting members and preventing committee member burnout
*Crew Leader Development and Training - partnering with the new Outdoor Stewardship Institute; assessing VOC's skills training programs and crew leader qualifications
*VOC's New Trail Master Program - using our best talents in new ways
*2008 and Future Project Selection Process - balancing new stewardship needs and volunteer training needs with our traditional trail focus; expanding and evolving our project model
*VOC's New Project Advisory Board - lending our expertise in new leadership ways
