Description: The McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area (NCA) forms a part of the Uncompahgre Plateau, which rises like a giant rolling wave above the Grand Valley of Colorado. Rugged canyons that descend to the Colorado River contain some of the most spectacular landforms found anywhere in the country. Visitors to the area's Trail Through Time view dinosaur bones, watch an archeological dig in process or simply commune with the sublime landscape. It's no surprise that over 35,000 people visit the trail annually. As a result, the upper section on the Trail Through Time is in need of a makeover. Help upgrade the trail and improve its ease of access while making it sustainable. Join VOC and the Friends of McInnis Canyons NCA to ensure that the Trail Through Time remains a destination full of mystery, splendor, and diversity.
