Summary: Climb the Palisade above Gateway and help remove trash and debris from an old uranium mine.
Description: A small group of volunteers will join BLM Park Rangers and a climbing team to clean up the old mine site atop the Palisade. Debris will be bundled into cargo nets then flown off the top with a helicopter. Volunteers will also remove wires, cables and ropes from the historic climbing route. Volunteers will be needed at the base area too in order to unload the trash brought off the mountain by the helicopter.
