Summary: Cimarron Trail Restoration of Middle Fork
Description: Help Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado fix this popular loop hiking trail that allows visitors to enter the spectacular Uncompahgre Wilderness Area and be surrounded by its high peaks. The Middle Fork Trail sees a large volume of traffic due to its ease of access. This has caused damage both to the trail and the wetland systems around it. The restoration effort will improve the visitor experience by providing an improved trail surface that allows for drainage and is maintainable. It will also help improve the watershed and help protect the wetlands area from damage.
