Summary: Denver Area Tree Planting
Description: Trees. They green our neighborhoods. They clean our atmosphere. They shade our houses. Help beautify a thriving neighborhood by being a good steward of your city and your planet, by planting trees in southwest Denver's Columbine Housing Community. This project will work to not only enhance the neighborhood with new trees but will also begin the process of building a new canopy of young trees. These new trees will replenish the canopy of aging trees that have been present for years in this neighborhood.
This project is a collaborative effort between Volunteers for Outdoor and The Park People to plant 175 trees in this culturally diverse, low income neighborhood.
This is a great chance for youth groups, families and anyone that cares about Denver's communities and Colorado's climate to make a difference.
