Summary: Middle Flume Trail Realignment
Description: Middle Flume is a popular non-motorized trail located on the Peabody Placer, a hydraulic mine site from the 1800's. Currently part of the local trail system, Middle Flume has developed several social trails which are poorly aligned along an unsafe slope. Volunteers will reestablish a sustainable trail which will help reduce erosion and sedimentation. Volunteer efforts will ensure that hikers and mountain bikers alike will have a safe recreational experience while protecting the surrounding habitat. This will include closing unsafe/unsustainable trails for re-vegetation, as well as constructing a bridge and constructing new trail.
