Summary: Public Lands Day at Red Rocks
Description: Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of Colorado's most recognizable landmarks. Every year hundreds of thousands of people visit the park for world class music and beautiful hikes. The high volume of foot traffic has resulted in the creation of unsafe trails and eroding landscapes. Help Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado give Red Rocks some much needed TLC on National Public Lands Day. Volunteers will repair eroding trails and close dangerous foot paths around the park. In addition to trail improvements, volunteers will also be removing non native weeds which are harmful to the parks native habitat.
Registration on project day will begin at 7:00 AM so that we can begin work at 8. We will work until 2:30 and then have an end of day celebration with food donated from Jose O'Shea's Mexican Restaurant.
