Summary: Spruce Gulch
Description: Help remove spotted knapweed, an aggressive weed that is a priority to eradicate in Boulder County and most of Colorado. This project will take place on National Forest land in a rugged area known as Spruce Gulch, which is close to Boulder but has a remote feel. 2010 is the second year for this project, and we look forward to continuing the work begun in 2009 as well as working on some new areas at the site. To access the site, volunteers will hike up to one and one-half miles each way, gaining about 600 feet on the way in. Volunteers will meet at the Boulder Ranger District and carpool to the access point to Spruce Gulch. Please bring your lunch and water for the day.
